Hood Industries, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of structural wood products, is investing $245 million to expand its sawmill operations in Wayne County, Mississippi.

Sofidel America has successfully started up a third paper machine at its integrated plant in Circleville, Ohio. The milestone, achieved on September 4, 2025, further consolidates the site's role as the company's largest and most important production hub worldwide.

State-of-the-art technology will improve efficiency and increase production.

Officials said the company's TimberStrand facility near Monticello and Warren is expected to bring 200 "high quality" jobs to the region upon completion.

Kimberly-Clark has announced plans for a $130 million expansion of its Mobile facilities, adding a new production line to make hygiene products.

The expansion is expected to create approximately 35 new jobs, adding to the more than 600 people Green Bay Packaging currently employs in Conway County. The company also noted that this investment could potentially double the production capacity of the Arkansas Kraft facility.
