Voith Paper Service Contract With Kappa Hoogezand Renewed 5 Years
Comment Print
Heidenheim, Germany, 06 October 2006 - Kappa Graphic Board B.V. in Hoogezand, Netherlands, has recently renewed their service contract with Voith Paper B.V. Vaassen for the total maintenance of their UniPulper pulping system in Hoogezand. The initial contract began with the delivery of the equipment in 2001 and has now been extended for a further 5 years. The contract scope remains unchanged and comprises the hard surfacing of rotors, one of which is leased to Kappa Graphic Board. Also included is the supply of all necessary wear and spare parts as well as regular preventive maintenance by Voith's engineers from Vaassen.

The renewal signifies the mill's confidence in Voith's services. In this particular case availability is a crucial factor since the mill operates two board machines from this one pulping system.

As with other Vaassen service contracts for stock preparation the contract is reviewed annually. The operating life of parts is then discussed, new developments introduced, and last servicing for the coming year is planned.

Kappa Graphic Board is Europe's largest manufacturer of high quality graphic board. Voith Paper B.V. Vaassen is an operating unit of Voith's Fiber Systems Division in Ravensburg, Germany.

Voith Paper is a division of the Voith Group and one of the leading partners to the paper industry. The company has approximately 30,000 employees, a turnover of EURO 3.5 billion, and over 200 locations world-wide.
