Greenwich, Connecticut, USA, 20 March 2009 -- /PRNewswire/ -- SP Newsprint Co., LLC announced today that it will take market related downtime at its mill in Newberg, Oregon. The mill will be down from 01-23 April 2009. This downtime will result in approximately 25,000 metric tons of lost production. SP Newsprint will maintain adequate inventories to ensure that its customers will not experience any service interruptions during the shut-down. 

SP Newsprint Co., LLC is the fourth largest newsprint manufacturer in North America, with approximately 900,000 metric tons of newsprint production capacity. SP Newsprint operates mills in Dublin, Georgia, and Newberg, Oregon, and operates 23 recycling facilities through its subsidiary, SP Recycling Corporation.
