Porcari, Lucca, Italy 07 March 2016 -- Sofidel has acquired the Forest brand and 30,000 tonnes of tissue converting capacity in Hungary.

Italian Sofidel Group has strengthened its presence on the European market by acquiring an important operation in Hungary from Forest Papír Kft. The transaction includes the acquisition of the Forest brand of tissue products like toilet rolls and kitchen paper, as well as finished product sales in the brand and private label segments.

Furthermore Sofidel bought converting lines in Lábatland and Leányvár and a converting plant in Piszke with an overall converting capacity of 30,000 tonnes.
