RockTenn Makes Large Investment

Norcross, Georgia, USA 12 August 2014 -- RockTenn Company in Norcross, Georgia, will soon award a contract to install and erect a new bubbling fluidized-bed (BFB) boiler at a pulp and paper mill in Demopolis, Alabama for $70 Million Boiler.

RockTenn is also investing US$46M in its Stevenon, Alabama, pulp mill to reduce fiber and chemical use; project is estimated to generate after-tax returns in excess of 25%.

RockTenn is a manufacturer of corrugated and consumer packaging. Co. operates locations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Puerto Rico and China. Co. operates in three segments: Corrugated Packaging, consisting of its containerboard mills and its corrugated converting operations; Consumer Packaging, consisting of its coated and uncoated paperboard mills, consumer packaging converting operations and merchandising display facilities; and Recycling, which consists of its recycled fiber brokerage and collection operations.
