Chiba Prefecture, Japan 29 September 2017 -- Rengo Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka; Chairman, President & CEO: Kiyoshi Otsubo) announces that it has acquired a 100% stake in Sugii Kogyosho Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Tateyama-shi, Chiba Prefecture; President: Shigeki Sugii), making it a wholly-owned subsidiary.

Sugii Kogyosho is a manufacturer of corrugated boxes which operates in the Southern area of the Boso Peninsula. It was founded in 1947, has been soundly managed since its founding, and has a solid customer base.

Rengo will strengthen the cooperation between Sugii Kogyosho and neighboring plants directly managed by Rengo and will continue to expand the corrugated packaging business of Group companies in the same region.
