PaperWorks to Acquire CanAmPac

Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, USA 05 June 2015 -- PaperWorks Industries, Inc., a leading North American paperboard packaging supplier, has agreed to acquire CanAmPac, Napanee, Ont., Canada. The acquisition includes coated recycled board (CRB) producer Strathcona Paper, folding carton manufacturer Boehmer Box and LYFT Visual graphic services.

Strathcona Paper is the largest producer of CRB in Canada. The company produces high-quality, clay-coated paperboard rolls and sheets in medium- to heavy-weight calipers. Boehmer Box is known for its high-quality offset-litho printed folding cartons for North American food packaging applications.

"CanAmPac is a leading Canadian integrated paperboard and consumer packaging supplier. Its quality-oriented manufacturing and converting capabilities, coupled with a complementary customer base, make it an ideal addition to the PaperWorks portfolio," said Kevin Kwilinski, president and chief executive officer, PaperWorks. "We look forward to providing an expanded packaging supply source for North American board and carton customers."

The acquisition is expected to be finalized in July, and is subject to approval by the Canadian Competition Bureau.
