Pöyry Awarded U.S. Board Machine Rebuild

Vantaa, Finland, 29 November 2006 -- Pöyry's Forest Industry business group has signed an agreement with USG Corporation, Chigaco, Illinois, USA, to provide engineering and project management services for a major board machine rebuild at USG's Otsego mill in Michigan. The services will be provided during 2007. The value of the services contract is about EUR 2.5 million.

The 4.5-m-wide (179 inches) PM1 board line will be rebuilt to produce high-quality gypsum linerboard in a basis weight range of 160-205 g/sq. m. Pöyry's contract includes engineering management, civil and detail engineering services, as well as time scheduling and procurement services.

This assignment is a continuation of the cooperation between USG and Pöyry. USG Corporation is a Chicago-based Fortune 500 manufacturer and distributor of high-performance building systems.

Pöyry is a global consulting and engineering firm focusing on the energy, forest industry, and infrastructure and environment sectors. Pöyry's annual net sales amount to about EUR 600 million and it employs 6000 experts.
