Kipas Starting Containerboard Machine

Kahranmarmaras, Turkey 30 October 2013 -- Kipas announced it will start production at its new containerboard machine PM 1 in January. Plans concerning the installation of a new grey board and coreboard machine are also proceeding well, the company says.

Turkish company Kipas Kagit Sanayi Isletmeleri will be launching production on the new paper machine at its Kilili facility in the southeast province of Kahranmarmaras in January 2014. EUWID was told that the PM 1, with a planned production speed of 1500 m/min and a capacity of 400,000 tpy of recycled linerboard and corrugating medium, is currently undergoing trials. Starting from January, the company will be supplying raw paper with grammages of 70-200 g/m³, the bulk of which is earmarked for sale on the Turkish market.

The company is sticking to its plans for a board machine and is still conducting the appropriate talks. The planned BM is to produce both grey board and coreboard. A precise schedule has not been established yet.
