Interfor Agreement Ratified by United Steelworkers

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, 09 November 2007 - International Forest Products Limited (Interfor) (TSX: IFP.A) announced today that formal notice has been received from the United Steelworkers Union (USW) confirming the collective agreement reached between the company and the USW has been ratified by the USW membership. The USW had been on strike since late July.

The company’s Acorn and Hammond Cedar sawmills will return to operations in an orderly fashion, commencing next week. The Queensboro sawmill, which was curtailed before the strike action in July, will remain curtailed for an indefinite period.

Interfor is one of the Pacific Northwest’s largest producers of quality wood products. The company has operations in British Columbia in Canada and in Washington and Oregon in the United States, including three sawmills in the coastal region and one in the interior of British Columbia, one in Washington, and two in Oregon. In addition, Interfor operates value-added remanufacturing and specialty products facilities in British Columbia and Washington.
