London, England 23 June 2016 -- DS Smith Plc ("DS Smith") is pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement to acquire Gopaca. The business is a well-invested corrugated producer, located near Porto, Portugal and employs c. 135 people. The acquisition strengthens our operations in Iberia, an important and growing market for corrugated packaging, and further increases our Pan-European customer offering.

The acquisition is subject to competition clearance, which we expect during calendar Q3 2016 with completion shortly thereafter.
