In this issue of Disconnected Comparisons, we evaluate Temple-Inland, Inc. (TIN) and Bemis Company, Inc. (BMS). The attached graph indexes these companies’ stock values and the PM40 to their 04 January 2002 values. A USD 100 investment in TIN on that date would have been worth USD 13.85 on 20 Feb 2009; a USD 100 investment in BMS on 04 January 2002 would have been worth USD 76.32 on 20 Feb 2009; and a USD 100 investment in an equal weight of the PM40 on 04 January 2002 would have been worth 51.45 USD on 20 Feb 2009.
