Andritz Acquires Iggesund Tools

Graz, Austria, 18 July 2011 -- International technology Group Andritz has acquired Iggesund Tools International AB, headquartered in Iggesund, Sweden, including its subsidiaries in the USA, Canada, and other countries. The acquired companies have approximately 160 employees and generate annual sales of about EUR 25 million. It was agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

Iggesund Tools – now Andritz Iggesund Tools – supplies wood chipping and debarking equipment (mainly chipper knife systems) for pulp and saw mills. The Andritz Pulp & Paper business area is thus strengthening and complementing its service offerings in the wood processing area.

The Andritz Group is a global supplier of plants and services for the hydropower, pulp and paper, metals, and other specialized industries (solid/liquid separation, feed, and biofuel). The Group is headquartered in Graz, Austria, and has a staff of approximately 15,900 employees worldwide. Andritz operates more than 120 production sites, service, and sales companies around the world.
