Montreal, Quebec, Canada, 11 July 2006 -- /PRNewswire/ -- Abitibi-Consolidated Inc. will release second quarter 2006 results before the stock markets open (approximately 7:30 a.m. Eastern) on 26 July 2006. Management will host a conference call and question-and-answer session to discuss earnings that day at 11:00 a.m. Eastern. Participants will include John W. Weaver, president and chief executive officer, as well as Pierre Rougeau, senior vice-president, Corporate Development, and chief fnancial oficer.
